Profile Inserts

Profile Inserts from Vyankatesh Engineering are precision-machined, heat-treated replaceable components that form specific geometrical features within the die cavity. They are used in both fixed and loose-piece arrangements and allow complex or undercut geometries to be formed and extracted from the casting. Starting from certified raw material and manufacturing through our managed process — in-house machining and grinding, coupled with certified hardening and nitriding — Vyankatesh Profile Inserts deliver consistent dimensional quality and maximum die insert life.

Surface Finish
Nitriding (0.1–0.15mm case depth) + optional TiN/TiAlN PVD coating for enhanced wear and sticking resistance.
Customization Available
Fully custom manufactured to customer drawing. Any geometry achievable using CNC, EDM, and profile grinding.
Available Sizes
Any size from small 10mm inserts to large die blocks. Capability up to 500kg component weight.

Applications

  • Forming undercut features and complex cavity geometries in aluminum die castings
  • Replaceable inserts for high-wear zones in HPDC and LPDC dies
  • Automotive body and structural part die inserts
  • Industrial housing, cover, and bracket die features
  • Special loose-piece inserts for features that cannot be drawn directly from the die

Key Advantages

Strictly managed end-to-end capability eliminates quality issues

Consistent dimensional quality batch-to-batch due to controlled, documented process

Loose-piece design enables ejection of complex, undercut castings without die damage

Competitive lead times due to dedicated in-house machining and certified heat treatment

Quality Assurance

100% Inspection Before Dispatch

All profile inserts undergo 100% dimensional inspection by CMM or precision gauges. Hardness verified by Rockwell testing. Blue matching on VMC for critical mating surfaces.
